About Sanchar Saathi (संचार साथी के बारे में)

• Sanchar Saathi portal is a citizen centric initiative of Department of Telecommunications to empower mobile subscribers, strengthen their security and increase awareness about citizen centric initiatives of the Government. Sanchar Saathi empowers citizens by allowing them to know the mobile connections issued in their name, get disconnected the connections not required by them, block/trace lost mobile phones and check genuineness of devices while buying a new/old mobile phone. Sanchar Saathi contains various modules like CEIR, TAFCOP, KYI, RICWIN etc. (संचार साथी पोर्टल मोबाइल ग्राहकों को सशक्त बनाने, उनकी सुरक्षा को मजबूत करने और सरकार की नागरिक केंद्रित पहलों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए दूरसंचार विभाग की एक नागरिक केंद्रित पहल है। संचार साथी नागरिकों को उनके नाम पर जारी किए गए मोबाइल कनेक्शन के बारे में जानने, उनके लिए आवश्यक नहीं होने वाले कनेक्शन को काटने, खोए हुए मोबाइल फोन को ब्लॉक करने/पता लगाने और नए/पुराने मोबाइल फोन खरीदते समय उपकरणों की वास्तविकता की जांच करने की अनुमति देकर सशक्त बनाता है। संचार साथी में CEIR, TAFCOP, KYI, RICWIN आदि जैसे विभिन्न मॉड्यूल शामिल हैं। )
• In addition, Keep Yourself Aware facility provides latest updates and awareness material on different aspects related to end user security, telecom and information security.          Block Your Lost/Stolen Mobile (CEIR)

• CEIR module facilitates tracing of the lost/stolen mobile devices. This also facilitates blocking of lost/stolen mobile devices in network of all telecom operators so that lost/stolen devices cannot be used in India. If anyone tries to use the blocked mobile phone, its traceability is generated. Once mobile phone is found it may be unblocked on the portal for its normal use by the citizens. (CEIR मॉड्यूल खोए/चोरी हुए मोबाइल उपकरणों का पता लगाने की सुविधा प्रदान करता है। यह सभी टेलीकॉम ऑपरेटरों के नेटवर्क में खोए/चोरी हुए मोबाइल उपकरणों को ब्लॉक करने की सुविधा भी देता है ताकि खोए/चोरी हुए उपकरणों का भारत में उपयोग न किया जा सके। अगर कोई ब्लॉक किए गए मोबाइल फोन का इस्तेमाल करने की कोशिश करता है तो उसकी ट्रेसेबिलिटी जेनरेट हो जाती है। एक बार मोबाइल फोन मिल जाने पर इसे नागरिकों द्वारा सामान्य उपयोग के लिए पोर्टल पर अनब्लॉक किया जा सकता है। )

        Know Your Mobile Connections (TAFCOP)

TAFCOP module facilitates a mobile subscriber to check the number of mobile connections taken in his/her name. It also facilitates to report the mobile connection(s) which are either not required or not taken by the subscriber. (TAFCOP मॉड्यूल एक मोबाइल ग्राहक को उसके नाम पर लिए गए मोबाइल कनेक्शन की संख्या की जांच करने की सुविधा प्रदान करता है। यह उन मोबाइल कनेक्शनों की रिपोर्ट करने की सुविधा भी देता है जिनकी या तो आवश्यकता नहीं है या ग्राहक द्वारा नहीं लिया गया है। )
